Terms of service

Last updated 2026-09-02

These terms cover the kcode app and the kcode.sh service, provided by kcode (company name to be filled in), Address to be filled in.

The license

A subscription lets you run kcode on up to two Macs at a time. Each Mac signs in with your account and holds a signed license file, which kcode renews with the server. You can deactivate a Mac from your account page to free its slot.

The trial gives you every feature for 14 days on the same terms. It starts when you approve your first Mac.

Your account

You sign in with an email address. Keep it current; sign-in links and billing notices go there. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including on Macs you have approved.

Payment

Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle's terms apply to the transaction. Subscriptions renew until you cancel from the billing portal; canceling keeps access until the end of the paid period.

Providers and models

kcode talks to model providers with the keys you supply. Those providers have their own terms and charge you directly. We do not proxy, store, or bill your model traffic.

Acceptable use

Do not share an account across people, circumvent the device limit, or reverse-engineer the license check. We may suspend an account that does.

Warranty and liability

kcode is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, kcode (company name to be filled in) is not liable for indirect loss, and its total liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes and termination

We may change these terms with notice by email. You may stop using kcode at any time; we may end the service with reasonable notice and refund any unused paid period.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Jurisdiction to be filled in.
