Account and devices
Sign in, manage the two Mac slots, update billing, cancel.
Signing in
kcode signs you in with an email link; there is no password. The app shows a short code and a link to this site; the link opens the approval page for that Mac. If you are not signed in yet, the page asks for your email first and brings you back to the code after you click the link we send.
Two Macs
An account has two device slots. Each approved Mac takes one. When a third Mac asks to sign in, the approval page shows the Macs that hold the slots and lets you deactivate one; approve the new Mac after that.
The account page lists your devices with their name, macOS version, kcode version, and last check-in. Deactivate any of them from there. A deactivated Mac stops at its next check-in and can sign in again later if a slot is free.
The license on the Mac
After approval, kcode keeps a signed license file on the Mac and renews it in the background.
Billing
Buy from the pricing page or the account page. Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. The account page shows your plan and the renewal date; Manage billing opens Paddle’s portal for the card, invoices, and canceling. Canceling keeps access to the end of the paid period.
Refunds within the window on the refund policy are one email away.
Signing out
Sign out ends the browser session for this site only. Approved Macs keep their license until you deactivate them.
